War comes to end warships sail home
For harvest time and winter sleep
A new-crowned king and queen so fair
Guard the high hall from havoc and care
Share out gold rings spoils of summer
Feast and make merry amidst our loud calls
Vladimir, King! Kalisa, Queen!
Will see us safe to spring's warm days
Another Anglo-Saxon praise poem, celebrating the coronation of Vladimir and Kalisa. It was supposed to be for the September Acorn, but I missed the earlier deadline (July 25 instead of August 1, because of Pennsic) so this went into October's issue.
