OK, look: I got married, all right?
And yes, in point of fact, it was all right. Spiffy, even.
The wedding was on 11/5: Guy Fawkes Day, which was coincidental (which is good, because Paradox is just too hard to get out of the carpets*); the weather behaved, down to the leaves obligingly staying on the leaves until after the photos were done. Decent food; extremely - extremely extremely extremely - good beer and wine, because I am fortunate in my friends. The bride looked even more radiant than usual; I... well, I didn't scare any small children.
We did not process in under the Imperial March, but we did dance to REM's "The End of the World" and there is a picture of Jaymiel and I assuming combat stances with various cake cutting implements**. And, of course, we had family and friends - and somebody wandering through to take pictures for a school project, oddly enough. Luckily, they did not see us dancing to Baby Got Back.
As for the honeymoon... Italy is very pretty, very scenic, excellent food, better wine, cheerful people and I'm happy to have gone, and happy to be back. We spent a week in a mountain villa on an olive farm without internet access and I almost stopped twitching by day three. I have almost no idea what's been happening in the outside world since 11/7, although I have no doubt that I'll find out soon enough. Insert humorous finishing sentence here; as I wrote, jet lag is my master now.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who has expressed their good wishes to myself and my wife, both here, via email or in person. No humorous finishing sentence here at all.

**Ceremonial cake, mind you: we had CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!!!!!
Sorry, but I'm sorta supposed to refer to this in a suitably ornate fashion. Those of you contemplating marrying in the future, contemplate this: every woman I've mentioned this to has cooed over the idea of CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!!!!!
Just keep it in mind, that's all I'm saying.
