"...And that's how your mother and I met."

Yeah, they'd so totally have kids. Neither seems to be the sort to believe in any sort of afterlife, so if they want to perpetuate their evil after their deaths, they'd almost have to reproduce.

Or something.

Comedy (Girl) Genius

You have to be following along in order to get the full effect, but the last line of today's Girl Genius had me - no, not laughing. It had me enviously repeating it several times, trying to find just the right tone of voice for it. That's better than laughing.

In which I interrupt the flow of the Month of Content to note:

Oh, right.

Him.

I believe that this kind of situation is what they would tend to call 'awkward.'

Dammit, Rich Burlew.

That wasn't fair.

Wherein I imitate, however badly, Eric Burns' Websnark

Today's Achewood? Man, that's some kinda disturbing stuff, there.

(pause)

I don't think that I've got the hang of this, yet.

There's an odd look in Mike's eyes.

It's on the tip of my tongue, can't quite make it out, it's driving me nuts trying to figure...

Oh.

He's happy.

(pause)

Wow.

Glad I'm a Philistine...

...because philistines don't have to look at this and try to analyze it for its metaphysical, cultural and emotional value.  They can instead go, "Well, that was weird", wander away from the computer and go have a beer.

Why, yes, I think that I will go have a beer.  Being a philistine and everything, you see.

That second bird's smoking teh crack...

...everybody knows that the only good cover/sampling of Under Pressure was done by the Octopodes.  No head explosion for me, Sparky.  And it was Queen and David Bowie, not just Bowie.  (shaking head) What are they teaching small birds these days...

BTW (and for the record) I'm not loving this archiving scheme that you got going with Indietits, J Jacques.  Bad chi flow, if you ask me.  Or even if you don't, I suppose.

Moe

PS: No, really, everyone from coastal TX, get the HELL out of there!  Shoo!

Amusingly, she isn't even dating him.

Today's Questionable Content.  Funny*.  Free of onerous subtexts and/or sound of various axes being ground.  Check it out.

Moe

*I notice that most if not all of my humor content these days consists of examples of generally cheerful sarcasm.  I obviously need a dose or two of physical humor; perhaps I shall put Buster Keaton movies on the wish list.  Never watched any, except for the usual snippet with him and the clock, but he's supposed to be hella funny.

Yet another webcomic to claim a piece of my lifespan

Alien Loves Predator.  Decided to add it with this one, and am now chewing my way through the archives.  Still, this makes like 18 that I'm reading; it used to be six.  I need to seriously cut back.

We shall now pause for Eric A Burns' mocking laughter.  Thank you.

Moe

UPDATE: "There's too much talk in this world, and not enough stadiums full of lesbians."  Quote of the day.

Yet Another UPDATE: Fellow In Nomine Fanatic Royce pimps this link to Terinu; the comic has not yet been checked out, but the five-minute summaries are geeky comic goodness.  I am sure that the other players in my SOON TO BE STARTING UP FRIDAY NIGHT IN NOMINE GAME THAT HAS A COUPLE OF SLOTS OPEN will find it interesting as well...
