Attending: Morton, Ilaria, Tatsume, Patricia, Johanna, Teleri
Patricia brought a great deal of supplies for wire weaving and some books. She provided some background on wire weaving (trichinopoly!) and explained kinds of wire and good sizes to use. Then she walked us through making a 'flower' and getting started. Morton, who has been making these chains on his own, also helped, providing his own 'lessons learned.' It was great to have several techniques to try for starting or ending a wire, fixing spacing issues, and so on, so people could find what worked for them.
Both Ancient Wire books were available for browsing, and there were a few other resources scattered around. I don't have links to most of them except for Great Wire Jewelry, which is nice for instructions and project ideas but not so great with documentation. The instructions in "Ancient Wire" seemed more extensive.
