The problem of course is that so many states have ridiculously strict laws about fireworks that you'd pretty much be confined to holding up a lighter in your home with a fire extinguisher no more than five feet away.

Cool thought though. We need more holidays.

Could be worse - Montgomery County apparently tried to ban smoking in homes - that is, if the law had been passed, if you were alone in your own home on the property that had been passed down in your family since before there was a Montgomery County, you wouldn't be allowed to smoke.

Bans on fireworks just seem so tame in comparison...
