Huzzah for the Exploding Magical Starship!

(I want a new genre, now: the Transforming Robot High-School Comedy/Drama for Shöjo. Because "Magical Starship Sword of Justice", in the "Magical Girl Pretty Sammy" vein, is too good to pass up. Plus, some part of my brain likes the idea of a giant-robot sparkly-magic transformation sequence, instead of the altogether unimpressive Transformers bit.)

I know it's probably a dumb question, but have you read Bujold's Curse of Chalion and Paladin of Souls yet? I know you've read Bujold, but you've never mentioned those to my knowledge...

Hey, I remember you being something of an Patrick O'Brian fan... have you picked up 21? I just got it from the library tonight, but haven't done anything besides read the forward.

I'm kind of fishing around for a new series to read too. Is the Wheel of Time books worth getting into?

'Kay, in order: I can only dimly see the Deep Wrongness of the Shojo stuff, I buy the Chalion books in hardcover, am reluctant to buy the last Aubrey/Maturin book because... well, then it'd be done, don't you know? - and I have never read a Robert Jordan book in my life. People I know who have weren't impressed.

Exploding starships?

Ah, so you only buy Lois Bujold books then?

Moe Lane

In hardcover, Chuckg. Good to see ya again, btw.
