Joseph is fairly sure that he is actually an Archangel. It's just that he doesn't know why.
He's just had what was, simply, the absolutely worst day of his life - even if it did end in apotheosis. Something... happened in the Seraphim Council. Something very, very bad - and Joseph, newly-fledged and acting as a blessed messenger (which was, of course, an honor and a privilege) was the only angel able to step in front of whatever-it-was. He rather assumed at the time that he was just going to die. Instead, after what he remembers, blessedly, as merely a confused collection of moments punctuated with rivers of blood and counter-pointed by inhuman screaming, there was the standard soundless explosion of light and he was picking himself out of the wall. In the process, he discovered that he was apparently now bound to an Archangelic Word last held by the Demon Prince now running Hell's armies.
Joseph is reasonably certain that this is not actually his worst problem. His worst problem is that whatever it was that he encountered in that moment of transcendent Hell is still out there, it may come back - and he has no idea how to use the powers that he's apparently just gotten. And the Archangels - the other Archangels? - can't explain it to him in a way that makes coherent sense to Joseph. This does not bode well.
Joseph is normally a reasonably cheerful type, for a Malakite, with a good sense of humor - and, prior to this morning, no bad experiences to blunt his essential optimism. Presumably, all of this will change, once he gets more used to being an Archangel with no followers, no awareness of his powers, no Cathedral - and at least two insanely powerful malevolent entities out there, potentially ready to attack. On the other hand, Joseph does have a certain inherent certainty that he has a great potential for power, if he can only figure out how. As the Word is Valor, clearly he needs to go out and do Valorous things. Also, clearly, he's in no condition to just go out by himself; he'll get killed too quickly, which would presumably be against Someone's plan.
In short, it looks like he could use some sort of bodyguard - preferably of mixed Words, of course - until he can figure things out.
Looks like there's a typo in his stats. His Agility is only 3?
