Weblog Licentiae Moeticae

My new site. Which is not going to mean the end of this one.

As you may have noted by now, I have a new site: Moe Lane.  It is going to be an eclectic sort of place, combining my various hobbies, obsessions, and Things About Moe That We Don't Talk About.  WLM is not going away: I've configured ML to publish a link and excerpt from anything that's written here.  This site is going to concentrate on gaming and (probably) bardic material; I'll be putting up general goofiness over on ML, but that site is going to be as unapologetic about being political as it is about being geeky.  My wife's site is not going anywhere, either.

There is one thing over there that might be of interest, though: it's a WordPress blog, which means easy to work with pages.  I've created a test page that reproduces my Stormloader LLM main page, but the links still go back to Stormloader.  I have a ridiculous amount of files available over at the old site; anybody have a good suggestion on a better place to host them that doesn't involve inundiating my current host with them (not a practical solution at all)?

You may have noticed that Sitemeter is now gone.

They've apparently wrecked it, in the opinion of a bunch of other people - and apparently I need to sign in if I want to see the changes, or even access the old data.

They can email me when they've resolved their little problem, frankly.

Seriously, I did have several helpings of kalua pig in Hawai'i.  That's a couple of pigs down.  Nobody's wife denied me chestnuts, though.  I don't even really like chestnuts.

There was the conference, the vacation, the return trip with the lost luggage, and then the bridal shower for my sister.  Quite the whirlwind pair of weeks!  But now, with summer over, the school year starting², and things hopefully settling down, I'm back.

2 - I spent as long in post-secondary education as I spent years in elementary and high school.  I have only been out of school two years.  In a lot of ways, the start of the school year is still the start of the year for me.

Because, honestly, at this point in the proceedings I don't even know what day it is, really.

Silly me: I thought that I could fly to Hawaii and actually maintain posting content. Silly, silly Moe. Two items tomorrow, with my apologies. Whenever "tomorrow" actually is.

So, there we were, Moe, Teh Geek, Giddysinger and me, sitting and chatting for something like the first time since their wedding.  Giddysinger was enthusiastic about the last Month of Content here on the Liber.

"All my stuff I post on the AEG bulletin board," I said.  "Maybe I should put it on my LJ or something."

"You could put it on Liber Licentiae Moeticae," said Moe.  "I can make an account for you."

"You'd like 7th Sea stuff?" I asked.

"Sure!"

So, here we are.

I have updated Filibuster with a map, and will be switching the other Infinity Thumbnails over to the new category soon.

No, still here...

...but today I'm running my first SCA event in a decade. Nice little dessert revel, because you have to ease back into this sort of thing. Should be fun.

I should note...

...that while I have no intention of letting this site go for long periods of time without updates it's highly unlikely that I can sustain the original material every day routine of December. It'd be nice, but so would be getting a pony.
